CyberZone
CyberZone is a Saturday morning
and school holidays computer club for children and young people with disabilities from
the ages of 7 to 16 / 18 years old.
The idea of the club is to provide young people with disabilities
the opportunity to access high quality computer and teaching facilities that may not
normally be available to them.
CyberZone is a
small, informal and friendly club based on 7 to 8 "users" per session.
Support for users is welcomed from parents, carers or friends.
Club users are supported by an experienced and highly
qualified computer tutor and a support worker.
The emphasis of the club is on
having "FUN", whether you are playing games or taking the opportunity to learn more
practical skills. If you want to play "Games" for
one and half hours you can, but if you want to learn about the Internet, graphic
design or word processing that's fine.
